The Catacombs of San Callisto are the largest and most visited, with 20 kilometres of tunnels, papal tombs and early Christian frescoes. San Sebastiano and Domitilla are smaller and less crowded. The Capuchin Crypt beneath Santa Maria della Concezione holds the bones of 3,700 Capuchin friars arranged in decorative patterns across six chapels.
