Silfra: Snorkeling or scubadiving between two continents tour with photos Tickets
Choose your experience
The Silfra snorkelling and scuba diving tour takes place at the Silfra fissure in Thingvellir National Park, Iceland, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The crack fills with glacially filtered freshwater from Langjokull glacier, producing visibility of over 100 metres, among the clearest of any dive site in the world. The tour runs year-round and is one of the few places on earth where divers can touch two continental plates simultaneously.
Participants snorkel or dive through named sections including the Cathedral, a wide underwater hall, and the Wishing Well, a deep vertical drop. Dry suits are provided, as water temperatures remain between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius regardless of season. Professional photos taken during the session are included in the price. Departures operate from Reykjavik, with transport, equipment, and a guide covered by the ticket.
